For anyone who has read Mockingjay, the third book in The Hunger Games Trilogy…

Can anyone think of a good reason why Katniss went to the Capitol? I know she wanted to kill Snow, but I can’t think of anything she actually achieved by going there. From Suzanne Collins’ perspective, or intention as a writer, was there a deeper meaning anywhere?
